The mezzo-soprano Eva Zaïcik, lyrical revelation of the Victoires de la Musique, joins Les Ombres for a program dedicated to the vocal treasures of the 17th century, at the dawn of the Baroque era.
In the candlelight, sometimes a master of ornamentation or a skilled declaimer, she shapes the court airs of Michel Lambert and Sébastien Le Camus, creates the Italian figure of Psyche from Lully, and alternates between portraying male and female protagonists of Francesco Cavalli’s Venetian opera.
Supported by the harmonic framework crafted by the musicians of Les Ombres, song and music are brought back to life, under a chiaroscuro light specially created for the occasion, with the eternal desire to merge poetry and music with a single, eternal voice.
